CARABANCHEL CREATIVA

Social, cultural and economical activation project.

Carabanchel Creativa is the pilot project of the urban activation model of the IED Innovation Lab, the innovation center of the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid. A process of social innovation, activation and connection between citizens, creative economics, institutions and associations, which incorporates visualization technologies VR so that neighbors are those who project their city, and can experience the future before it is reality.

Collaboration in the first step of the project: database generation and visualization of the characteristic locations and agents present in the neighbourhood: Orange Economy (community of artists who help the activist growth of the neighborhood), traditional commerce (activities of the professional sectors with historical presence in the district), strategic allies (neighborhood associations, indirectly related agents with the Orange Economy and other groups and organizations located in the district) and industrial heritage (detection of buildings of industrial character).
